anumericparameterwindow.Minimumconcentrationfortheidenticationis0.15
vol%.Theagentselectionremainsactiveeveniftheconcentrationdecreasesbelow
0.15vol%.Automaticagentidenticationisoperationalafterthenormalwarmupof
themodule(approximatelyveminutes).
Ifrapidagentconcentrationchangesarerequired,freshgasowmustbe
increased.
Anestheticagentconcentrationinthecircuitisaffectedbypatientuptake,
breathingsystemvolumeandthefreshgasow.Itquantiesthespeedofwash-in
andwash-outanestheticagents.

breathing.Thecapnogramofahealthypatientundercontrolledventilationhasa
normalshape.ChangesintheCO

waveformmayindicatecompromisedpatient
respiratoryand/orcirculatoryfunctionorimpropermechanicalventilatorfunctionality.
