IntendeduseofACI-TIPI
TheAcuteCardiacIschemia–TimeInsensitivePredictiveInstrument(ACI-TIPI)is
intendedtobeusedinahospitalorclinicenvironmentbycompetenthealth
professionals.TIPIutilizesrecordedECGdataalongwithpatientdemographicand
chestpainstatustoproduceanumericalscorewhichisthepredictedprobabilityof
acutecardiacischemia.Likeanycomputer-assistedECGinterpretationprogram,the
GEMarquetteACI-TIPIevaluationandprobabilityscoreisintendedtosupplement,
notsubstituteforthephysician’sdecisionprocess.Itshouldbeusedinconjunction
withknowledgeofthepatient’shistory,theresultsofaphysicalexamination,the
ECGtracing,andotherclinicalndings.

●Fora12leadECGanalysis,a12SLECGwithACI-TIPIlicense,10-leadwirecable,and
10–leadleadelectrodeplacementarerequired.
●Toobtainthemostaccurate12leadECGanalysis,youshouldenteraccurate
patientdemographics.Thisisespeciallyimportantwhenstoringandcomparing
12leadreportsintheMUSEdatabase.
●Fora12leadECGanalysiswiththe12RLfeature,a12RL12leadECGlicenseanda
6–leadwirecable(ora10-leadwirecablewiththeC2/V2,C3/V3,C4/V4,andC6/V6
leadsdisconnected)isrequired.
●Fora12leadECGanalysiswiththe12RLfeature,conrmthattheVaandVblead
positionsaresetcorrectlyfora12RLmeasurement.
●Forthemostaccurateserialcomparisons,usethesameelectrodecongurationas
usedontheprioranalysisforthepatient.
●12RLmeasurementdataisnotsenttotheS/5Network.
Enteringdatafora12leadECGanalysis
WhentheTechIDRequiredissettomandatoryintheCareUnitSettings,youmust
entertheTechnicianIDbeforeyoucanconrmthe12leadsettings.AllCareUnit
