Zeroingtheinvasivepressuretransducers
1.Levelthetransducerfollowingyourcareunit’spolicy(usuallylevelofthe
phlebostaticaxis).
2.Closethetransducerstopcocktothepatientandopentheventingstopcocktoair.
3.Ifthepressurelineyouaretryingtozerodoesnothavethetransduceropentoair,
themessagePressureSenseddisplays.
4.YoucanzeroallconnectedpressuretransducerssimultaneouslybyselectingZero
AllPressuresfromthemonitor’smainmenuorfromtheremotecontrol,oryou
canzeroasingleactivepressuretransducerbyselectingtheinvasivepressure
parameterwindow>Setup>Zero.
NOTE
ZeroAllPressuresdoesnotzeroaconnectedICPchannel.
TheICPchannelmustbezeroedseparately.Whenthe
ZeroICPseparatelymessagedisplays,youcanzero
theICPchannelbypressingtheZeroP1toP8orzero
all
modulekeyorbyselectingZerofromtheICPSetup
window.
5.Checkthatazeroreferencehasbeenestablished.Watchthepressureparameter
windowformessages.
6.Closetheventingstopcocktoairandopenthetransducerstopcocktothepatient.
7.Checkthatpressurenumericsdisplayonscreen.
Selectinganinvasivepressurechannellabel
Onechannellabelcanonlybemappedtoonechannelatatime.Ifyouselecta
channellabelthatisalreadymappedtoanotherchannel,theotherchannel’slabel
willchangetothedefaultvalue.
1.Selecttheinvasivepressureparameterwindow.
2.SelecttheSetuptab.
3.SelectachannellabelfromtheLabellist.
Selectingthesizeoftheinvasivepressurewaveform
1.Selecttheinvasivepressureparameterwindow.
2.SelecttheSetuptab.
3.SetthewaveformscalewiththeScalearrows.
Thelargerthescalevalue,thesmallerthewaveformsize.
Optimizingtheinvasivepressurewaveformscale
Youcanselectanautomaticcalculationforanoptimizedwaveformsize.Thissize
willthenbeusedforthelocalwaveform,minitrend,andwaveformprintouts.Other
instances(e.g.,informationsenttothenetwork),willusethescaleselectionthatisas
closeaspossibletotheupperlimitoftheoptimizedscale.
Thealgorithmusesthelastfoursecondsofthewaveformdatatocalculatethescale.
Ifyounoticeaconsiderablechangeinthewaveformduringthattime,waitforthe
waveformtostabilizeandperformtheoperationagain.
