Dependingonthesystemconguration,thefollowingprintingcapabilitiesare
available:
●PrintingtoarecorderconnecteddirectlytooneoftheM-ports.
●Printingtoabuilt-inrecorder(B450andB650).
●Printingtoaremoterecorderconnectedtoanothernetworkedbedsidemonitor
(exceptaB650oraB450)oracentralstationintheCARESCAPENetwork.
●PrintingtoabedsideprinterconnectedviatheIXnetworkinterface.Inthiscasethe
IXNetworkinterfacecannotbeusedforothernetworkpurposes.
●PrintingtoanetworkprinterconnectedtoaniCentralintheS/5Network.
●PrintingtoanetworkprinterconnectedtotheIXNetwork.
Youcanprintrealtimewaveforms(generatedbyamanualrequestorbyanarrhythmia
ornon-arrhythmiaalarm)andnumerictrendstoarecorderoraprinter.Inaddition,
youcanprintdifferenttypesofreportstoaprinter.
Laserprinters

60950/IEC60950certiedequipment,whichmaynotmeetthe
leakagecurrentrequirementsofpatientcareequipment.This
equipmentmustnotbelocatedinthepatientenvironment
unlessthemedicalsystemstandardIEC60601-1-1isfollowed.
Donotconnectalaserprintertoamultiplesocketoutlet
supplyingpatientcareequipment.Theuseofmultiplesocket
outletforasystemwillresultinanenclosureleakagecurrent
equaltothesumofalltheindividualearthleakagecurrents
ofthesystemifthereisaninterruptionofthemultiplesocket
outletprotectiveearthconductor.Consultyourlocalservice
representativebeforeinstallingalaserprinter.
WARNING
—EXCESSIVELEAKAGECURRENT—Asecondarydisplayor
printerthatisanon-medicalgradedeviceandisusedwithin
thepatientenvironment,mustalwaysbepoweredfrom
anadditionaltransformerprovidingatleastbasicisolation
(isolatingorseparatingtransformer).Usingwithoutan
isolatingtransformercouldresultinunacceptableenclosure
leakagecurrents.
