parameterssentvarywitheachperipheraldeviceandaresubjecttochange.Itisalso
importanttonotethatalarmsvaryaccordingtotheprimaryinterfaceddevice.
Insomecases,theperipheraldevicemayimposealarmcontrolparametersthatyou
maynotbeabletochangeorsilencewiththemonitor’scontrols.
UnityNetworkInterfaceDevice(ID)interconnection
TheUnityNetworkInterfaceDevice(ID)connectstothemonitorviaoneoftheM-port
connectorsonthefrontoftheprocessingunit(B850),orviatheEthernetportlabeled
IDonthebackofthemonitor(B650,B450).
Afactory-programmedadapterisrequiredforeachperipheraldevicetocommunicate
withtheconnectivitydevice.Refertotheinstructionsprovidedwiththeinterface
adapterforadaptersetupandinstallationinstructions.
1.Interfaceadapters
Oncetheinterfaceadapterispermanentlyconnectedtotheperipheraldevice,the
cablecanbepluggedintoanyoneoftheeightserialportsontheUnityNetwork
InterfaceDevice(ID).
CAUTION
Theuseofthewronginterfaceadaptermaycauseimproper
operationofthesupportedperipheraldevice.

aboveit.Thelightindicatesthestatusoftheserialport.
