leakagecurrentswheninterfacingthedevicewithother
equipment,thedevicesmayonlybeinterconnectedwith
eachotherortopartsofthesystemwhenithasbeen
determinedbyqualiedbiomedicalpersonnelthatthereis
nodangertothepatient,theoperator,ortheenvironment
asaresult.Inthoseinstanceswherethereisanyelement
ofdoubtconcerningthesafetyoftheconnecteddevices,
theusermustcontactthemanufacturersconcerned(or
otherinformedexperts)forproperuse.Inallcases,safe
andproperoperationshouldbeveriedwiththeapplicable
manufacturer’sinstructionsforuse,andsystemstandards
IEC60601-1-1mustbecompliedwith.
WARNING
Donotunderanycircumstancesremovethegrounding
conductorfromthepowerplug.Alwayscheckthatpower
cordandplugareintactandundamaged

Duringintracardiacapplicationofadevice,adebrillatorand
pacemakerwhoseproperfunctioninghasbeenveriedmust
bekeptathand.

Ifliquidhasaccidentallyenteredthesystemoritsparts,
disconnectthepowercordfromthepowersupplyandhave
theequipmentservicedbyauthorizedservicepersonnel.
WARNING
—DISCONNECTIONFROMMAINS—Whendisconnectingthe
devicefromthepowerline,removetheplugfromthewall
outletrst.Thenyoumaydisconnectthepowercordfromthe
device.Ifyoudonotobservethissequence,thereisarisk
ofcomingintocontactwithlinevoltagebyinsertingmetal
objects,suchasthepinsofleadwires,intothesocketsofthe
powercordbymistake.
WARNING
—INTRACARDIACAPPLICATION—Whenapplyingdevices
intracardially,electricallyconductivecontactwithparts
connectedtotheheart(pressuretransducers,metaltube
connectionsandstopcocks,guidewires,etc.)mustbeavoided
inallcases.Topreventelectricalcontact,werecommend
thefollowing:
●alwayswearisolatingrubbergloves,
●keeppartsthatareconductivelyconnectedtotheheart
isolatedfromground,
●ifpossible,donotusetubettingsorstopcocksmadeof
metal.
