●PDM,TRAM,combinationmonitoring:Pacemakerdetectionmustbeturnedonat
themonitor.Itmustbeusedwheneverthemonitoredpatienthasapacemaker.
●E-modules:Pacemakerdetectionisalwayson.
●E-modules:Ifthepatienthasanatrialpacemaker,STcalculationscanbeperformed
ifthepacerspikedoesnotcoincidewiththeISOpoint’sadjustmentrange.
Selectingthepacemakerdetection
WithE-modulesthepacemakerdetectionisalwaysenabled.
WithPDM,TRAM,andcombinationmonitoringitmustbeturnedon.However,you
maydisablepacemakereventprocessingbyturningoffpacemakerdetection.When
pacemakerdetectionisturnedoff,themonitoringdeviceignorespacemakerpulse
detectionswhichmayadverselyaffecttheheartrateaccuracyofthemonitoring
device.
1.SelecttheHRparameterwindow.
2.SelecttheAdvancedtab.
3.SelectavaluefromthePacemakerDetectionlist.
Listoptionsareacquisitionmoduledependent:

￭Show:DisplayspacemakerspikesontheECGwaveform.
￭Hide:HidesthepacemakerspikesontheECGwaveform.
￭Sensitive:Increasespacemakerdetectionsensitivityanddisplaysthe
pacemakerspikesontheECGwaveform.Byselectingthisoptionyoucan
improvethedetectionofsmallamplitudepacemakers.However,thismodeis
alsomoresensitivetofalsepacemakerdetections.
