Step 5 Enter the dial string voice mail should use to retrieve (pick up) an External Extension call
when the called destination is busy.
5.1 CUSTOMIZE: SYSTEM OPTIONS: [DIAL STRINGS] EXTERNAL BUSY HOLD RETRIEVAL (PAGE 466).
- This string should be F.
✔ By default, this option is N (no entry).
Step 6 In UX5000 programming, set up the trunks voice mail will use for External Extension as
Tandem Trunks (i.e., Unsupervised Conference).
6.1 REFER TO THE UX5000 SOFTWARE MANUALS FOR MORE.
- Make sure that 20-11-14: Trunk to Trunk Transfer Restriction is disabled (0) in the voice
mail port’s Class of Service. This is the default setting.
6.2 The connected trunks must provide disconnect supervision.
