Block description
The distance unit consists of the following boards and units:
• TPB board, Transmitter board incl. LDB (Laser Drive Board) board and transmitter diode.
• PRB board, Receiver board incl. Receiver diode.
• Greywedge assembly incl. motor, greywedge disc and GMB board
• Laser pointer

TPB - Transmitter board
The TPB board is the transmitter board in the distance unit and includes the following functions:
• Laser pulse generation incl. Tx-diode
• Generates two measurement pulses to PRB
• Coarse distance measurement function
• Micro-controller for control and communication
• Storing of the distance unit firmware
