PASS Release 163
PASS release1.6.3 is using a new (FICOM 4.4.39) communication driver than PASS release 1.5.4.
When running PASS release1.6.3 a new set of firmware update files are necessary.
If the old firmware update file is used together with PASS 1.6.3 it will result in various
communication problems between the instrument and PASS. To resolve this, run the repair
communication of the driver.
Firmware update files
The new firmware update files are also sing the latest communication driver version (FICOM 4.4.39).
The new firmware update files are available for download under service downloads for the respective
product model on Partners, see Service Bulletin JE-0409-0010 for more information.
Repair communication driver
To repair the communication driver, close PASS and perform the following instructions:
1. Select
Start from computer main menu
2. Select
All Programs
3. Select Trimble AB
4. Select Trimble Optical Positioning Communication Components
5. Select Repair Trimble Optical Positioning Communication Components and repair starts
immediately
The repair is ready as soon as the repair procedure is finished.
Start
PASS and resume work.
