Tracker Long Range alignment function check
Long Range FineLock is supported in Survey Controller version 12.42 or higher.
When using FineLock and Long Range FineLock function the instrument will lock on the target
during measurement and after measurement it will release the target lock function. The FineLock
function is designed for monitoring purpose, not following moving targets.
The Range for the Long Range FineLock to passive prism is up to 2500 m / 8,200 ft.
To ensure the instrument will lock on and measure up to 2500 m / 8,200 ft the following must be
aligned correctly:
1. Tracker receiver alignment.
2. EDM transmitter alignment.
3. Tracker Long Range Transmitter.

Use Autolock function and verify that the tracker receiver is within the alignment tolerances (93cc/
30” using PASS, Tracker test software), see page 6-136. If necessary realign the tracker receiver, see
page 6-133.
