The Trimble S3 Total Station with distance unit DR is laser class 3R product See page 1-2

Warning – Avoid aiming the Class 3R Laser Pointer towards any person.
Service recommendation – Position the collimator equipment to avoid accidental aiming to any
person
Differences to High Precision / DR Standard
Differences compared to High Precision / DR Standard EDM. High Precision / DR Standard values
in brackets.
• Transmitter unit laser class 3R (class 2)
• Receiver fibre 100m (200m)
• Coax cable 250mm (65mm)
Note – 250 mm Coax cable must be used in DR EDM due to electrical disturbance
Note – Make sure that the coax cable goes free from the greywedge.
