Video camera (Trimble S8 / VX)
The Video option is the integration of a fixed focus Digital Video-camera with integrated DSP
(Digital Signal Processor) and USB I/O-board into a Trimble S6 DR300+ Centre unit. The Digital
Video-camera is able to see a field of view of 16,5° x 12,3° and provides 3-Megapixel coloured
pictures and video streams to the TCU or other external PC via USB foot connector.
The video image displayed on the TCU can be used in different applications for:
• “click and move” functionality, click on any point on the display and the instrument drives to
that direction.
• showing already measured points, lines, objects etc.
• 3D point scanning support, e.g. framing by image selection,
• documentation purposes by storing single images,
• supporting robotic mode operation using the wireless transmitted live image, e.g. for line of
sight alignment or search operations,
• video control for monitoring measurements.
