Tracker range problem in passive
mode (prism)
Check if tracker is finding the target using Target ID.
Check tracker cross-talk. Clean the front lens to reduce cross-
talk, also clean transmitter prism inside the front lens with air
dust remover.
If none of these helps replace the transmitter unit.
Reason: High cross-talk levels means that back reflections when
the beam is transmitting through the objective are equally strong
as the reflections coming from the target. A weak tracker
transmitter could also be the cause.
Target lock is unstable or lost in
certain directions. Servo system
behaves as if there is no motor drive.
Repair the angle system.
Reason: This is most probable a malfunction of the angle
system. When angle system is not working the servo system will
not receive angles and also stop working as a result.
The cross-hair is oscillating in the
vertical axis when locked to a target.
The oscillation disappears during
measurements.
Activate vertical oscillation compensation.
Reason: This is caused by friction change in the vertical axis. As
the servo is using a filter with lower feedback gain when
measuring this problem disappears during a measure.
