2.46.3.5 E-Mail Notification
Description
When the system stores a new voice message, it will check the notification settings for your
mailbox. If E-mail notification is configured, the system will send you an E-mail notification.
If configured, the voice message is attached as an *.wav file and the message may be
erased from the mailbox automatically since a copy has been delivered via e-mail.
Operation
System
Conditions
System automatically sends E-mail to notify you of new voice messages.
1. The E-mail is sent to the address assigned for the station with the “sender”
address defined for the System. Note the latter is required, as many E-mail servers
will reject anonymous E-mails.
2. The E-mail address for the System and the station are defined under the Web
Admin.
3. To attach the Voice message to the E-mail notification, VSF MSG - Attach
Message in the Station Data VM Attributes must be enabled.
4. The Sender E-Mail information (system E-mail account) is assigned in both the
Station and System Data areas. If both are assigned, the Station assignment is
used.
