4.18 Outside Line Groups
Description
The outside Lines, in the system can be placed into groups for assigning access by stations
and common access dial codes as well as to separate the type of Line (analog, digital or IP).
There are 200 Line groups in the UCP.
Unused Lines are assigned to Group 201 in the UCP. Private Lines are assigned to Group
000.
Operation
Conditions
1. Unused outside Lines must be assigned to the appropriate group so that stations
do not accidentally access these lines.
2. Outside Lines in Groups 001 through 200 can be accessed individually by dialing
the code “88” and the Line number.
3. An outside Line in Group 000, which is the group for Private Lines, can be
accessed only with a Flex button assigned to the Line.
4. The system will select an outside Line from a group based on the Round Robin or
Last Choice method as configured in the system database.
