Operation
Conditions
Operation of this feature is automatic when configured.
1. The maximum number of connections assigned in the Zone Attributes is used to
limit the number of calls from a zone to all other zones while the Inter-Zone
Attributes assignment is used to limit the number of calls between two specific
zones.
2. If the maximum Inter-Zone Connectionsis set to 0, the number calls for the Zone
is not limited.
3. When a Zone reaches the defined maximum Inter-Zone calls, you will receive error
tone and the display “INTER CONN LIMIT OVER” when attempting an Inter-Zone
call.
4. An Inter-Zone call is determined when the call connection is made. If an incoming
call is answered that places the Zone over the limit, the call is dropped and you
receive error tone.
5. Emergency calls are counted as an outgoing outside call however, the Emergency
call is always allowed.
6. If Two-way recording is active and the recording connection places the Zone over
the limit, the call is not recorded.

Description
Remote devices, in particular those not reachable by the system, are managed by grouping
devices with similar characteristics in a Zone. Placing devices into Zones simplifies
management allowing definition of common characteristics to the devices within the zone.

Time-zone, GMT or system
