5.12 Intercom Signaling Mode
Description
You can set the signaling received when your iPECS IP or LDP Phone receives an incoming
ICM call while the station is idle. There are three signaling modes available.
When an ICM call is received, you hear a brief splash of tone followed by the caller’s voice.
You may respond to the caller without the need to “Lift the handset” or “press the [SPEAKER]
button”.
H - Call announce with Hands free answerback
When an ICM call is received, you receive a brief splash of tone followed by the caller’s voice.
To respond you must lift the handset or press the [SPEAKER] button.
P - Call announce with Privacy
An ICM call will cause your iPECS IP or LDP Phone to provide audible ICM ring tone. You
must lift the handset or press the[SPEAKER] to answer the call.

Operation

1. Press [TRANS/PGM] button, the [SPEAKER] button LED lights steady.
To change ICM Signaling Mode
2. Dial the Station User Program code “13”, confirmation tone is received.
3. Dial the desired ICM Signaling Mode code (“1” for H, “2” for T or “3” for P).
4. Press the [HOLD/SAVE] button.
Conditions
1. Message Wait, Callback, Call Forward and Attendant Override will ring in the tone
mode, regardless of ICM Signaling Mode you select.
2. The ICM signaling Mode Selection does not affect Page announcements.
3. The default ICM Signaling mode is Tone ring and the active mode is stored in
battery-protected memory.
4. A SLT always functions in the Tone ring mode.
