iPECS UCP
Feature Description and Operation Manual Issue 1.3
234
From a network perspective, the iPECS can use either the ‘Join’ or ‘Re-route’ signaling
method to complete a call transfer over the network. The Networking Transfer Mode assigns
the method that will be used and should be selected to match other systems connected in the
private network.
Join—an additional connecting path is needed to transfer the call to another Station.
Routing—a new connecting path is used to transfer the call (the old connecting path
of the transferring station will be cleared).
