Diagnostics > sFlow > Configuration
This page lets you configure sFlow. The configuration is divided into two parts: configuration of the sFlow receiver
(a.k.a. sFlow collector) and configuration of per-port flow and counter samplers. sFlow configuration is not
persisted to non-volatile memory, which means that a reboot will disable sFlow sampling.
sFlow is an industry standard technology for monitoring switched networks through random sampling of packets
on switch ports and time-based sampling of port counters. The sampled packets and counters (referred to as flow
samples and counter samples, respectively) are sent as sFlow UDP datagrams to a central network traffic
monitoring server. This central server is called an sFlow receiver or sFlow collector. Additional information can be
found at http://sflow.org.
Agent Configuration
IP Address: The IP address used as Agent IP address in sFlow datagrams. It serves as a unique key that will
identify this agent over extended periods of time. Both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are supported.
