to 5.12.1 Maintenance Schedule/Record, page 415.
5.4.1 Lubricating the Windrower
DANGER
To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected startup of the machine, always stop the engine and
remove the key from the ignition before leaving the operator’s seat for any reason.
1. To avoid injecting dirt and grit, wipe grease fitting with a clean cloth before greasing.
2. Inject grease through fitting with grease gun until grease overflows fitting, except where noted. Refer to 8.2.3
Lubricants, Fluids, and System Capacities, page 461.
3. Leave excess grease on fitting to keep out dirt.
4. Replace any loose or broken fittings immediately.
5. If fitting will NOT take grease, remove and clean thoroughly. Also clean lubricant passageway. Replace fitting
if necessary.
