Adding Electrolyte to the Battery
Before servicing batteries, consult the battery manufacturer’s instructions for proper procedures and safety
precautions.
CAUTION
Do not attempt to service battery unless you have the proper equipment and experience to perform the
job. Have it done by a qualified Dealer.

WARNING
Keep all smoking materials, sparks, and flames away
from electrolyte container and battery. Gas given off by
electrolyte is explosive.

WARNING
• Battery electrolyte causes severe burns. Avoid
contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear protective
eyewear and heavy gloves.
• If electrolyte is spilled or splashed on clothing or on
the body, neutralize it immediately with a solution of
baking soda and water, then rinse with clean water.
• Electrolyte splashed into the eyes is extremely
dangerous. Should this occur, force the eye open, and
flood with cool, clean water for 5 minutes. Call a
doctor immediately.
DANGER
To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected startup
of the machine, always stop the engine and remove the key from the ignition before leaving the operator’s
seat for any reason.
