7.9 Backing up the system
General
In this procedure, you will back up you r system configuration to a US B drive.
Prerequisite
• Ensure that you are familiar with the USB device (Backup/Restore) Menu. F or details on this m enu, please refer to chapter
"System men u > USB device (Backup/Restore)", page 72.
Back up a system configuration file
Use the following steps to back up your system to a US B Drive:
1. Insert a formatted flash drive in the unit’s front-panel USB port.
2. From the System me nu, scroll to the US B Backup/Restore submenu. Selec t Backup Confi g.
The USB Backup Co nfig submenu appears. T he navigation cursor appears at the default name for the first backup file.
3. If y ou wish to change the default name of the backup configuration, press SEL.UsetheADJUST knob to ch ange the name, as
described in section "Using menu system", page 66 . Press SEL again when you complete the name change.
4. Scroll to Backup Config and press SEL.
Aconfirmation mes sage appears when the bac kup is complete.
