The 3RU cable asse m bly provides power to the 3RU fans from the Mo therboard.
One side of the cable is attached to a metal bracket t hat is accessible after the 3RU fan tray is remov
ed. The
other side of the cable assem bly co nnects to t he Mo therbo ard.

How to remove the 3RU Fan cable
1. In order to access the motherboard, follow the steps detailed in the other procedures to remove the Front Cover Assembly, F ront
brackets and 3RU Fan Tray.
2. Locate the 3RU ca ble connector that is exposed afte r the 3RU fan tray is removed. The connector is attached on a metal bracket
that is vertically m ounted in the chassis.
