12.6 How to use the Layer buttons
General
Similar to the Destination Buttons the Layer buttons create a selection for further actions.
Buttons are as standard in the same select mode as the destinations, latch on, latch off. Other modes will be available.
A range of actions can be performed with this selection:
• AssignaSourcefile via the Assign buttons in Source mode.
• Layer Transition or Cut via the Red Layer Executors to the right of the Lay er button row.
• Freeze via the Blue Layer Ex ecutors to the right of the Layer bu tton row.
• Arm via the Green Lay er Exec utors to the right of the Layer button row.
• Match Program via the Green Layer Executors to the right of the Layer button row.
In general it can be said that a layer selection via the console have the same actions available as in the Event Mas ter Toolset, just
in a more hands-on direct way.
If a layer is not on preview or p rogram , pre ssing the button will turn the layer on in preview and select it for modifica
tion.
Once on PVW only the c lear button in t he GUI or on the right side of the controller will remove the layer from P VW.
