3.8 Initial inspection
General
Before shipment, all the devices were inspected and found to be free of mechanical and electrical defects. As s oon as the devices
are unpacked, ins pect for any damage that m ay hav e occurred in transit. Save all packing m aterial until the inspection is completed.
If damage is found, file claim with carrier imme diately. The Barco Sales and the Service office should be notifie d as soon as possible.
Unpacking
At delivery, Event Master devic es are packed in a shipping case. Place the shipping case of the device on a stable (solid), flat and
insulated support during all the unpacking. Open the case from the top. Remove the device that is packaged in an antistatic bag.
Check the box content after unpacking.
After unpacking let the device acclimate t o t he roo m temperature which must b e higher than 0°C (3 2°F) and
lower than 40°C (104°F). Neglecting this m ay result in s tartup failure of the device.
Save the original shipping case and p acking material, these will b e necessary i f you ever have to ship your
device. For maximum protection, rep ack your device as it was originally p acked at t he factory.
Box content
After unpacking an Event Master device, it is recommended that it be chec ked to see if all accessories were included.
