ose card slots , each of which may support any E2 input or
output card.
AC connectors
Event M aster E2, E2 J., S3–4K , and S3–4K Jr. series processors are equipped w ith tw o r edundant power supp lies. During norm al
operation the load is sha red equally by both supplies. If one supply fails, the second c arries the whole load. Two AC Connector are
provided to connect Event M aster seri
es processors to your facility’s AC power s ource through the supplied power cords.
Input Power Specification: 100-240 VAC, 47-63 Hz
On each power supply there are 3 LED lights that provide status information as follows:
• DC Output Pow er LED: when G reen, the sup
ply is outputting v alid DC power.
• Status LED: when amber indicates that an error has occurred.
• AC Input P ower LED: when green it indicates that the supply is connected to a valid AC power.
Therefore, during normal operating c onditions, the input AC and O utput DC LEDs will turn green.
Note that the power supp lies are installed up side down in the E2 mo del, so the silkscreen markings will also ap-
pear up side down. Power su pplies in the S3 m odel are installed in the correct orientation for reading silkscreen
markings.
Ethernet port
One RJ-45 connector is provided for 10/100BaseT Ethernet comm unications with the E vent Master series processor. The port is
used for running the Web Interface and for connection to an external device.
The E thernet connector is com patible with:
• Standard R J-45 Ethernet cables
• Neutrik EtherCon® series cables
