12. Controller Operation
DEST 1 ENTER
This syntax will S elect the Destination 1, just like
clicking on the Tab in the destination.
Further there are modifiers to the syntax:
DEST1+3ENTER
This syntax will select Destination 1 and 3.
Or:
DEST 1 Thru 3
ENTER
This syntax will select Destinations 1 thru 3.
You can probably see how efficient this is when you have lots of destinations.
Your mod ifiers are:
– , +, Thru to a dd or subtract from the selected function.
There are several examples below in this manual to understand how this can w ork in favor of the user.
Numbering
Destination, Layer, Source, Cue, Preset, and Userkey all h ave a num ber and a name that are independent from each other. The
Default name inc lude the number, but does not need to remain in or der to recall ov er syntax.
There are further functions that can be controlled w ith syntax like screens, layout
s a nd s uch. This is further described below.
There are also a range of combined button p resses that is meant to speed up the programming and control.
Contextual Buttons

The 12 Contextual Buttons to the left of the Num Pad is used to add situational functionality to the syntax. Certain button pr esses
changes the displays nam ing and the buttons function. They are referred to as CD1 thru 12 per row from the top left.
General rules
Note that all possible syntax is not supported.
A few general rules:
• Any S yntax entry must end with ENTER.
• Any Sy ntax is max 3 Functions deep before ENT ER.
• In the case of unsupported syntax it will just not work or register.
