5.4 About Status menu
General
The Status Menu is the Event Master se ries processor’s top-level menu, which appears by default at system startup. This menu
provides s ystem name, Unit ID, Genlock status and unit IP address. T he following fig ure illustrates a sample Status Menu. P ress
the ESC button when the Setup menu is displayed a llows to return in the Status menu.

System name
Human readable name of the current system. Particularly use ful in the user interface when multiple Event Mas ter system ar e con-
nected in the sam e network.
System1 is the default value. This nam e can be changed in the configu ration page of the GUI. For m ore details please refer to the
section dedicated to the system configuration in the chapter "Con figura tion Menu", page 96.
Unit ID
ID required to identify different units are acting as a single system in order to expand for Inputs, Ou tputs or Layers.
This ID can be change d in the c onfiguration page of the GUI. For more de
tails please refer to the section dedicated to the Sys tem
config uration in the chapter "Configuration Menu", page 96 .
Genlock
This line gives information about the Genlock c onnection situated at the back of the Event M aster unit. For more detail on this
connection please refer to the section dedicated to the Genlock Inpu t B NC in the ch apter"Rear panel", page 44.
The user could turn G enlock OFF or ON in the configuration page of the GU I. The Event Master unit will determine what kind of
Genlock is connected and will update the Status field. T he status field can say “Locked”, “ Lost Lock” or “Free Run ”. For m ore details
please refer to the s ection dedicated to the Event Master unit configuration in the chapter "System Setup", page 219.
IP address
IP address of the Event M aster unit in the local netw ork.
If there is no internet connection, o r if a D HCP ser
ver has not been found, the IP address is 000.000.000.000. T he IP address is
needed for running the Web Interface and for connection to an external device. For more details please refer to the section dedicated
to the s etting of Ethernet options in the chap ter "About the System men u", page 70
