Controllo usura e
sostituzione pastiglie
freno
Attenzione
Il liquido impiegato nell’impian-
to frenante, oltre a danneggiare la ver-
nice, è dannosissimo a contatto degli
occhi o della pelle; lavare quindi ab-
bondantemente con acqua corrente
la parte interessata in caso di acciden-
tale contatto.
Importante
Alla consegna del motoveicolo,
dopo la sostituzione delle pastiglie,
informare il Cliente che per almeno
100 Km dovrà utilizzare il freno con
cautela, al fine di consentire un
corretto e completo assestamento
dei materiali d'attrito.
Controllo usura per freno
anteriore
Controllare attraverso la fessura
ricavata sulla molla (1) della pinza che
risulti visibile il solco ricavato sulla
superficie di attrito delle pastiglie (3).
Importante
Se anche una sola delle
pastiglie risulta consumata sarÃ
necessario sostituirle entrambe.
Procedere alla sostituzione delle
pastiglie in questo modo.
Rimuovere la coppiglia di sicurezza (2)
dai perni tenuta pastiglie.
Sfilare i perni (4) di tenuta pastiglie
verso l’esterno.
Rimuovere la molla (1) di tenuta
pastiglie posta tra le semipinze.
Spingere i pistoncini della pinza
completamente dentro ai propri
alloggiamenti, divaricando le pastiglie
usate.
Sfilare le pastiglie usurate.
Inserire le pastiglie nuove e relativa
molla (1). Montare dall’esterno della
pinza i perni di centraggio (4) e
bloccarli con le coppiglie (2) di
sicurezza.

Warning
Brake fluid is corrosive and will
damage paint-finished parts if spilled
on them. In case of accidental
contact, wash with abundant running
water.
Caution
Running in new pads. Please
inform the Customer that new pads
must be run-in carefully - in other
words, the front brake must be used
carefully - for the first 100 Km to allow
the friction material to bed in
completely.
Checking front brake wear
Look through the slot in the caliper
clip (1) to make sure the groove in the
brake pad friction material (3) has not
worn out.
Caution
If one of the pads is worn,
change both pads.
Change the brake pads as follows.
Remove the split pin (2) from the pad
retaining pins.
Withdraw the pad retaining pins (4)
outward.
Remove the brake pad retaining clip
(1) from between the two caliper
halves.
Force the caliper pistons back into
their seats by forcing the brake pads
apart.
Remove the worn pads.
Insert the new pads and the clip (1).
Fit the pad retaining pins (4) from the
outside of the calipers and secure
them with split pins (2).
