Rimuovere i depositi carboniosi dalla
camera di combustione e dai relativi
condotti.
Controllare che non vi siano crepe e
che le superfici di tenuta risultino
prive di solchi, scalini o altri danni.
La planarità della superficie di
accoppiamento con il cilindro deve
essere perfetta. In caso contrario,
applicare su di un piano di riscontro
sospensione diamantata (spessore
6÷12 micron) e ripassare la superficie
muovendo la testa come evidenziato
in figura, fino ad ottenere un piano
uniforme.

Remove the carbon deposits from the
combustion chamber and relevant
ducts.
Clean any deposits in the inner
cooling ducts.
Check that there are no cracks and
that there are no grooves, steps or
damage of any kind on the seal
surfaces.
The surface mating the cylinder must
be completely flat. If this is not the
case, grind it on a surface covered
with a layer of diamond lapping
compound (6 to 12 microns). Move
the head as shown in the figure until
reaching an even flat surface.
