Refitting the valves
Note
The photographs illustrate
reassembly first of the exhaust side
and then of the inlet side.
Note
The reassembly procedure is
the same for both heads, differing
only in the relative positions of the
components, since the heads are
arranged symmetrically opposite.
Note
The photographs show the
head with then opening rocker arm
removed. The operation is
nevertheless possible with the
opening rocker arm in place provided
the spring has been removed.
Turn the head over and insert the
valves (19) and (21) in their valve
guides. Lubricate the contact
surfaces abundantly with engine oil.
Warning
At reassembly take care to
valve diameters: intake valves (19) are
smaller than exhaust valves (21).
Use a screwdriver to hold the closing
rocker arm (5) in the position at which
the valve is open

Note
Le immagini rappresentano le
fasi di rimontaggio eseguite prima sul
lato scarico e poi lato aspirazione.
Note
Le fasi di rimontaggio per en-
trambe le teste sono le medesime,
ma differiscono solamente per il po-
sizionamento dei componenti, in
quanto le teste sono simmetrica-
mente opposte tra loro.’
Note
Nelle immagini la testa è sprov-
vista di bilanciere di apertura, ma l'op-
erazione è possibile anche con
quest'ultimo montato avendo preven-
tivamente rimosso la molletta.
Ribaltare la testa ed inserire le valvole
(19) e (21) nei relativi guidavalvola, lu-
brificando abbondantemente l'accop-
piamento con olio motore.
Attenzione
Fare attenzione nel montaggio,
le valvole di aspirazione (19) hanno il
diametro del fungo più piccolo rispet-
to a quello delle valvole di scaricoì
(21).
Utilizzando un cacciavite bloccare il bi-
lanciere di chiusura (5) in posizione di
valvola aperta.
