Removing the side stand
Disconnect the connector (A) of the
stand switch (13) from the main
wiring harness.
Undo the two screws (8) that secure
stand plate (16) to engine. Remove
the complete side stand.
Disassembling the side
stand
Unscrew the retaining screw (12) and
remove the stand switch (13).
Unhook the plate (11) with stand
return springs (10) and (9) from the
pin located on the stand plate (16) and
remove the springs.
Lock the nut (1) and undo pivot (15)
retaining the stand to the plate and
remove the side stand (14) and the
nut (1).
Inspecting the side stand
Fit the stand (14) to the plate and
check that there is no exceeding play.
Ensure that the ends of the stand are
not bent with respect to the shank.
A stand which shows signs of
cracking must be replaced
immediately.
See Sect. P 6 for switch (13) testing.
Smontaggio cavalletto
laterale
Scollegare il connettore (A) dell’inter-
ruttore cavalletto (13) dal cablaggio
principale.
Svitare le due viti (8) di fissaggio della
piastra (16) di supporto cavalletto sul
motore e rimuovere il cavalletto late-
rale completo.
Scomposizione cavalletto
laterale
Svitare la vite (12) di fissaggio e
rimuovere l’interruttore (13) del caval-
letto.
Sganciare la piastrina (11) con molle
(10) e (9) di ritorno cavalletto dal perno
posizionato sulla piastra (16) supporto
cavalletto, e rimuoverle.
Bloccare il dado (1) e svitare il perno
(15) di fissaggio cavalletto alla piastra
e rimuovere la stampella laterale (14)
e il dado (1).
Ispezione cavalletto laterale
Verificare, introducendo il cavalletto
(14) nella piastra, che non vi sia gioco
eccessivo e che le due estremità della
cavalletto non risultino piegate rispet-
to al fusto.
Individuando segni di frattura sostitu-
ire il cavalletto laterale.
Per la verifica dell’interruttore (13)
consultare la (Sez. P 6).
