Rimontaggio cuscinetti di
sterzo
Importante
I cuscinetti superiore (5) ed in-
feriore (6) del cannotto sono uguali
ma è necessario evitare assoluta-
mente di scambiarne i componenti.
Pulire accuratamente e lubrificare con
grasso prescritto le superfici di con-
tatto.
Per il montaggio degli anelli esterni (E)
dei cuscinetti superiore ed inferiore
sul cannotto del telaio è necessario
disporre dell'attrezzo 88713.1062.
Procedere nel modo seguente:
scaldare il cannotto a 150 °C.
Posizionare correttamente gli anelli
esterni (E) nelle sedi del cannotto; in-
serire nell'anello inferiore la bussola
fissa (F, quella con foro filettato)
dell'attrezzo.
Inserire nell'estremità superiore
dell'asta dell'attrezzo, l'altra bussola
mobile (G) e portarla in battuta
sull'anello del cuscinetto superiore.
Avvitare il dado (H) e con chiave por-
tare in battuta gli anelli esterni (E) sul
cannotto del telaio.
Lasciare montato l'attrezzo fino al raf-
freddamento del cannotto per ga-
rantire l'appoggio dei cuscinetti nelle
sedi.
Refitting the steering
bearings
Caution
The top steering bearing (5) and
bottom bearing (6) are identical. It is
nevertheless essential to avoid
mixing up their component parts.
Clean all contact surfaces and grease
with the recommended grease.
To fit upper and lower bearings outer
rings (B) into frame tube, use special
tool part no. 88713.1062.
Proceed as follows:
Heat steering tube up to 150 °C .
Place bearings outer rings (E) into the
housings in the steering tube. Insert
tool fixed bush (F), with threaded
bore) into the bottom ring.
Fit the other bush (G), moving bush)
into the upper end of tool rod and
drive it fully home on upper bearing
ring.
Screw nut (H) and use wrench to
drive outer rings (E) fully home on
frame tube.
Fit steering shaft into steering tube
and push it until it becomes axially
seated.
Leave tool assembled until steering
tube has cooled down to ensure that
bearings are fully seated in their
housings.
