Overhauling the rear
suspension rocker arm
Disassembling the rear
suspension rocker arm
The rocker arm movement is
controlled by needle roller bearings
(3) rotating on an inner spacer (8). The
outer ends of the bearing have two oil
seals (2), which keep the lubricant
inside the cages.
Remove the inner spacer, the oil
seals and the needle roller bearings
using a suitable drift.
Caution
Do not damage the bearing
seats on the rocker arm while driving
out the bearings. Do not refit oil seals
or needle roller bearings which have
been removed.
Reassembling the rear
suspension rocker arm
Install two new needle roller bearings
(3) onto drift part no. 88713.1071.
Support the rocker arm and drive the
needle roller bearing into the rocker
arm until it stops.
Caution
Make sure to drive bearing
perfectly square in the hole. Avoid
jamming. Use a press, if necessary.
Fit a new oil seal (2) on the drift, as
shown in the figure. Drive it onto the
needle roller bearing previously fitted.
Repeat the above procedure for the
other roller bearings and the other
seal.
Lubricate bearings and oil seals with
recommended grease and insert the
inner spacer (8).

Il movimento del bilanciere è
realizzato mediante astucci a rullini (3)
che lavorano su un distanziale interno
(8); alle estremità esterne sono
posizionati due anelli di tenuta (2) che
provvedono a mantenere la
lubrificazione all’interno delle gabbie.
Dopo aver sfilato il distanziale interno,
rimuovere gli anelli di tenuta, gli
astucci a rullini utilizzando un
tampone adatto.
Importante
Fare attenzione, durante
l’estrazione, a non rovinare la sede del
bilanciere. Gli anelli di tenuta e gli
astucci a rullini rimossi non vanno più
rimontati.
Ricomposizione bilanciere
sospensione posteriore
Introdurre due astucci a rullini (3)
nuovi sul tampone cod. 88713.1071.
Supportare adeguatamente il
bilanciere e spingere gli astucci fino a
battuta dell’attrezzo sul bilanciere.
Importante
Introdurli in asse con il foro,
evitando impuntamenti:
eventualmente utilizzare una pressa.
Inserire un anello di tenuta (2) nuovo,
disposto come in sezione, sul
tampone e portalo in battuta
sull’astuccio precedentemente
montato.
Ripetere le stesse operazioni per gli
altri astucci e l’altro anello di tenuta.
Lubrificare con grasso prescritto
astucci e anelli di tenuta ed inserire il
distanziale interno (8).
