Overhauling the gearbox
Check the condition of the front
coupling dogs. They must not be
damaged in any way and must have
sharp edges.
The idle gears must rotate freely on
their shafts.
The idle gears must have the
specified axial play (Sect. C 1.1).
The idle gears for the 3
rd
and 4
th
gears on the secondary shaft must
have the specified axial play (Sect. C
1.1).
When refitting, make sure the circlips
are correctly positioned.
Check the needle roller bearings for
wear.
The threading and the splines of the
shafts must be in perfect condition.
Check the condition of the needle
roller cage (13) and of the oil seal (14)
on top of the gearbox primary shaft. If
needed, remove them with a suitable
puller and change them.

Controllare le condizioni dei denti di
innesto frontale degli ingranaggi che
devono essere in perfetto stato e a
spigoli vivi.
Gli ingranaggi folli devono ruotare lib-
eramente sui propri alberi.
Gli ingranaggi folli devono presentare
il gioco assiale prescritto (Sez. C 1.1).
Gli ingranaggi folli della 3ª e 4ª velocità
sull'albero secondario devono pre-
sentare il gioco assiale prescritto
(Sez. C 1.1).
Fare attenzione nel rimontaggio al
corretto posizionamento degli anelli di
arresto.
Verificare lo stato di usura dei semi-
cuscinetti a rullini.
Le filettature e le scanalature degli al-
beri devono essere in perfette con-
dizioni.
Verificare ad ogni revisione le con-
dizioni dell'astuccio a rullini (13) e
dell'anello di tenuta (14) posti sull'es-
tremità dell'albero primario cambio: in
caso di necessità rimuoverli utilizzan-
do un estrattore adatto e sostituirli.
