Revisione cuscinetti ruota an-
teriore
Prima di effettuare controlli
dimensionali è necessario assicurarsi
dello stato di usura dei cuscinetti del
mozzo ruota; questa verifica deve
essere fatta manualmente dopo aver
pulito e sgrassato il cuscinetto nella
relativa sede.
Ruotare l'anello interno.
Verificare l'entità del gioco radiale e
assiale; un gioco eccessivo può
essere causa di vibrazioni e instabilità
del mezzo ed è necessario procedere
alla sostituzione.
Per la rimozione dei cuscinetti (3) e
dell’anello di tenuta (7) dal mozzo
ruota seguire quanto riportato di
seguito.
Posizionare un perno (A) sull'anello
interno del cuscinetto (3).
Battere con un martello fino ad
estrarre il cuscinetto (3) e l’anello di
tenuta (7).
Eseguire la medesima operazione
sull’altro cuscinetti privo di anello di
tenuta
Spostare continuamente il punto di
pressione in modo da ottenere
un'estrazione il più possibile lineare.
Importante
I cuscinetti e l’anello di tenuta
rimossi non devono essere rimontati.
Prima di procedere con il rimontaggio
dei cuscinetti assicurarsi che la sede
sia pulita ed esente da solchi e
graffiature.
Lubrificare la sede prima di rimontare
il cuscinetto, quindi inserirlo nella
sede.
Utilizzare un tampone tubolare (B) con
il quale fare pressione solo sull'anello
esterno del cuscinetto fino alla sua
completa introduzione in sede.
Eseguire la stessa operazione per
introdurre l’anello di tenuta (7).
Fare attenzione che tra i due
cuscinetti del mozzo ruota sia stato
inserito il distanziale (6).
Note
Dopo ogni intervento sulla ruota
è consigliabile provvedere alla sua
equilibratura.

bearings
Check the wheel hub bearings for
wear before checking dimensions.
Clean and degrease the bearings
without removing them, then check
manually for wear.
Turn the inner bearing race to check
that it runs smoothly.
Check the amount of radial and axial
play in the bearings. Excessive play
will cause vibration and can make the
bike unstable. Change badly worn
bearings.
Follow the instructions below to
remove the bearings (3) and seal ring
(7) from the wheel hub.
Hold a drift (A) against the inner race
of the bearing (3).
Tap the drift with a hammer to knock
out the bearing (3) together with the
seal ring (7).
Remove the other bearing, which has
no seal ring, in the same way.
Tap the bearings at different points
around their circumference to keep
them square during removal.
Caution
Do not refit old bearings and
seal rings.
Before you fit a new bearing, check
that the bearing seat is clean,
unscratched and undamaged.
Grease the bearing seat before fitting
the bearing.
Using a tubular drift (B) to tap only on
the outer race of the bearing to drive
it fully home.
Fit the seal ring (7) in the same way.
Make sure that the spacer (6) is in
place between the two wheel hub
bearings.
Note
Balance the wheel after every
repair, maintenance or overhaul
operation.
