Refitting the camshaft
Renew the seal (3) at each
reassembly. Fit seal into its seat on
the right side of head (12) with the
side without the spring positioned as
shown in the figure.
Fit the drift provided with special tool
88713.2544 and fit the oil seal in the
head.
Caution
If you have left the rocker arms
in place in the head (Sect. N 4.4),
rotate the camshaft (16) until finding
the position at which the cams will
not contact the rocker arms.
Check the letter (A) punched onto the
camshaft before fitting it into the
head:
V: vertical
O: horizontal
Note
Lubricate camshaft seats with
graphitized oil to ensure lubrication
during crankshaft running-in.
Fit the camshaft (8) from the opposite
side of the head (12) to the drive.
Fit the key (7) to the right side of the
camshaft.
Rimontaggio albero
distribuzione
Inserire ad ogni rimontaggio un anello
di tenuta (3) nuovo nella sede sul lato
destro della testa (12) con il lato privo
di molla rivolto verso l’esterno come
mostrato in figura.
Installare sull’albero distribuzione
l’introduttore in dotazione all’attrezzo
cod. 88713.2544 e impuntare l’anello
di tenuta sulla testa.
Importante
In caso sulla testa siano
installati i bilanceri valvole (Sez N 4.4),
per inserire l’albero distribuzione (8)
occorre far compiere all’albero una
serie di rotazioni in modo che le
camme dell’albero non vadano ad
interferire con i bilanceri stessi.
Prima di inserire l’albero distribuzione,
controllare la punzonatura (A)
dell’albero: “V” indica verticale,
mentre “O” indica orizzontale.
Note
Applicare olio grafitato nelle
sedi dell’albero distribuzione in modo
che nei primi giri del motore l’albero
abbia comunque una lubrificazione.
Inserire l’albero distribuzione (8) dal
lato opposto alla distribuzione della
testa (12).
Inserire la linguetta (7) sul lato destro
albero distribuzione.
