4. Enter the IP address and networking parameters.
5. Enter the following parameters:
VPI and VCI pair of identifiers.
Encapsulation method: LLC, VCMux, or VCMux HDLC.
ATM is a network technology based on transferring data in cells or packets of a fixed
size. The cell used with ATM is relatively small compared to units used with other
technologies. The small, constant cell size allows the transmission of video, audio,
and computer data, assuring that no single type of data consumes the connection.
ATM addressing consists of two identifiers that identify the virtual path (VPI) and the
virtual connection (VCI). A virtual path consists of multiple virtual channels to the same
endpoint.
6. Click Next; the 'Connection Summary' screen appears:

7. Select the 'Edit the Newly Created Connection' check box if you want to perform
additional configurations after clicking Finish.
8. Click Finish to save the settings; the new connection is added to the Network
Connectionsscreen.
