A.3 Connecting the Backup Battery Pack

The procedure below describes how to connect the Backup Battery Pack.

1. Connect the Backup Battery Pack power wire to the device power socket.

2. Connect the Backup Battery Pack Signal Control wire to the device RS-9 socket.

3. Connect one end of the device AC power cord to the power socket on the Backup

Battery Pack and the other end to the grounded power outlet.

4. Turn on the Backup Battery Pack switch.

5. When the batteries are fully charged, the LED on the Backup Battery Pack is

displayed green (it takes 16 hours to fully charge the Backup Battery Pack upon initial

use).
