24.3.3 Viewing the Device Base Unit Status using DECT LED
The DECT LED is located on the front panel of the device and indicates the operating
status of the cordless phone, as described in the table below:

Color State Description
Green
On The base unit is ready to make or receive calls with the handset.
Green
Flashing The base is available for handset registration. To register a
handset, see Section 24.4 on page 405
Green
Flash Fast The base is being upgraded.
Note: Do not power off the unit during the upgrade process.
Red
On The base unit is on but no handset is registered to it.
Flashing There is a malfunction in DECT cordless phone.
Flashes (3 times)
Attempting to register more than the allowed number of
to the base unit (i.e., more than five).
Amber
Flashing The handset is being paged. To page (locate) the handset, see
Section 25.12 on page 416.

Off The phone is switched off. To switch the phone on or off, see
Section 24.2.3 on page 395.
