The sub-sections below describe the operation of AudioCodes’ Device Backup Battery
Pack.
A.1 What’s in the Kit
The following items are supplied in the kit:
Backup Battery Pack unit
Device AC power cord
A.2 Safety Instructions
Warning: Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
Before using your Backup Battery Pack, read the following safety instructions:
1. Read and understand all the instructions.
2. Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the product.
3. All product maintenance, including battery replacement should be performed by
authorized personnel only.
4. Batteries should be replaced with the same type and rating.
5. Unplug this product from the wall power outlet and from the device before cleaning.
Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
6. Do not use this product near water (for example, near a bath tub, kitchen sink,
swimming pool).
7. Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords, as this can result in the risk of fire or
electric shock.
8. Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer servicing to AudioCodes under the
following conditions:
• When the power supply cord or plug is damaged or frayed.
• If the product does not operate normally by following the operating instructions.
• If the product has been dropped and the cabinet has been damaged.
• If the product exhibits a distinct change in performance.
9. The Backup Battery Pack must be plugged to grounded mains outlet with 100-240
VAC 50/60 Hz, using a power cord with 0.75mm

three-pronged wiring.
