3 VMA Mode
3.1 Digital Demod Measurement
Frequency Deviation Tolerance:
Modulation frequency tolerance is measured as a percentage of the frequency
deviation fdev, dictated by the modulation index. In the case of 2-FSK, the measure
frequency deviation f at decision point shall be constrained to the range of 70% fdev
<|f| <130% fdev.
Outer Max Peak is the largest frequency deviation at crest as a percentage of the
frequency deviation.
Inner Max Peak is the smallest frequency deviation at crest as a percentage of
the frequency deviation.
Inner Min Peak is the smallest frequency deviation at bottom as a percentage of
the frequency deviation.
Outer Min Peak is the largest frequency deviation at bottom as a percentage of
the frequency deviation.
Zero Crossing Tolerance:
In the case of 2-FSK, the excursions for the zero crossings for all trajectories of the
eye diagram shall be constrained to within +/-12.5% rms of the symbol time Ts,
Zero Crossing Offset(Max) is the maximum zero-crossing offset at the right as
the percentage of the symbol time Ts.
Zero Crossing Offset (Min) is the minimum zero-crossing offset at the left as the
percentage of the symbol time Ts.
