Filter
In some circumstances, signal energy from outside the bandwidth of the analyzed
signal can leak into the analysis, producing artificially high EVM. This may be due to
aliasing that is a byproduct of the sampling and filtering done by the analyzer, or it
may be due to similar issues in the signal generator, or perhaps something else
entirely.
The Filter settings are used to configure and apply equalizer multi-carrier filtering to
the measurement. The multi-carrier filter is a FIR filter that is applied to the
measured signal before synchronization and demodulation.
Filter Type
Lets you specify the characteristics of the multi-carrier signal, by selecting a filter
type.
None NONE No multi-carrier filter is applied (default)
"Arbitrary" on
page 522
ARBitrary You supply a set of filter coefficients to apply
"Windowed
Sinc" on page
523
WSINc The filter is designed by starting with an ideal sinc filter shape
and then applying a window to the time-domain coefficients.
You specify the bandwidth, the number of coefficients, and the
window type
"Remez" on
page 523
REMez The filter is designed using the Remez-exchange method. You
specify the pass-band ripple, pass-band bandwidth, transition
bandwidth, and stop-band attenuation
