l2protocol-tunnel cos
To configure the class of service (CoS) value for all tunneled Layer 2 protocol packets, use the
l2protocol-tunnel cos command. To return to the default value of zero, use the no form of this command.
l2protocol-tunnel cos value
no l2protocol-tunnel cos
Syntax Description
Defaults The default is to use the CoS value that is configured for data on the interface. If no CoS value is
configured, the default is 5 for all tunneled Layer 2 protocol packets.

Usage Guidelines When enabled, the tunneled Layer 2 protocol packets use this CoS value.
The value is saved in NVRAM.
Examples This example shows how to configure a Layer 2 protocol tunnel CoS value of 7:
Switch(config)# l2protocol-tunnel cos 7
Switch(config)#

value Specifies the CoS priority value for tunneled Layer 2 protocol packets. The range is 0 to 7,
with 7 being the highest priority.

l2protocol-tunnel Enables protocol tunneling on an interface.
l2protocol-tunnel drop-threshold Sets a drop threshold for the maximum rate of Layer 2
protocol packets per second to be received before an
interface drops packets.
l2protocol-tunnel shutdown-threshold Configures the protocol tunneling encapsulation rate.
