show mac-address-table dynamic
show mac-address-table dynamic
To display the dynamic MAC address table entries only, use the show mac-address-table dynamic
command.
show mac-address-table dynamic [address mac_addr | interface type slot/port |
protocol protocol | vlan vlan_id]

Usage Guidelines The keyword definitions for the protocol argument are as follows:
• assigned specifies assigned protocol entries.
• ip specifies IP protocol.
• ipx specifies IPX protocols.
• other specifies other protocol entries.
The show mac-address-table dynamic command output for an EtherChannel interface changes the port
number designation (such as, 5/7) to a port group number (such as, Po80).
For the MAC address table entries that are used by the routed ports, the routed port name is displayed in
the “vlan” column not the internal VLAN number.
address mac_addr (Optional) Specifies a 48-bit MAC address; the valid format is H.H.H.
interface type slot/port (Optional) Specifies an interface to match; valid values for type are
fastethernet, gigabitethernet, and tengigabitethernet.
protocol protocol (Optional) Specifies a protocol. See the “Usage Guidelines” section for
more information.
vlan vlan_id (Optional) Displays entries for a specific VLAN; valid values are from 1
to 4094.
