Theory of Operation 2-11
The Color Registration Sensors are used to measure the amount of misalignment
based on the position of the color patches in relation to the black toner patch that
precedes them. According to this measurement, the printer determines the correct
value and automatically adjusts color registration in the main scanning, sub-scanning,
and diagonal directions.
