The ETERNITY NE will try to send the message for a maximum of 3 tries. If the message is not transmitted
successfully, the system will drop the message and proceed for the transmission of the next message. Also,
the system will print a System Fault event and the message.

2. HOBIS B
Handshaking Parameters for HOBIS B are as below:

the CAS)

STX This marks the beginning of the data transfer. It also starts the accumulation of the
BCC
HEX 02
ETX This is the last data character. Marks the end of the data. It is immediately followed
by the BCC.
HEX 03
BCC This is a 'block check character' used to verify the successful transfer of data
between the systems. BCC is calculated by processing through an accumulatory
by an Exclusive OR operation. The BCC process should start with the character
after the STX character.
