General Programmable Interface II (GPIF II)
Once a project is opened, the Interface Definition window appears, where the user can enter the electrical interface details.
See Designing a GPIF II Interface for details on the Interface Definition window.
Selections applicable for the interface are the following:
â– Interface Type: Slave
â– Communication type: Synchronous
â– Clock settings: Internal
â– Active clock edge: Positive
â– Endianness: Little endian
â– Data bus width: 8 Bit, 16 Bit, 24 Bit, or 32 Bit, as required
â– Address/data bus multiplexed: Deselected (nonmultiplexed)
â– Number of address pins used: 0
â– No special function signals are needed for this example design. No input, output, and flags are used.
