a. If so, verify the DICOM configuration license option is enabled.
b. If the licensed option is not enabled, order the DICOM license and preload the iE33 IP
address in the configuration utility on the Xcelera server.

Connection
Connect the ultrasound system to the network as shown in Figure 5-1.
NOTE The iE33 Network Interface Card (NIC) Network Speed and Duplex default setting is
“Auto-Detect”. In some networks, the “Auto-Detect” setting will not work (such as
with Cisco switches). Contact the local Network Administrator for advice on the set-
ting. The speed may need to be set manually using the Change Speed Duplex Setting in
Tech Admin under System Tools/Connectivity Tools. Refer to Figure 5-2.
